A safe and toxin free environment is the foundation of good health - both for us and our pets. Traditional chemical cleaners, laden with toxic substances, pose significant risks to both our furry companions and the environment. These harsh chemicals can cause a range of health issues in pets, from skin irritations and allergic reactions to more severe problems like respiratory distress and gastrointestinal issues if ingested. Long-term exposure can even lead to chronic health conditions and a weakened immune system in our beloved pets.
Bioenzyme cleaners are a perfect solution to this. They not only effectively clean and disinfect surfaces but also offer a myriad of benefits for both pet health and the environment. Turmeric, with its natural anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, helps to eliminate harmful bacteria without the need for harsh chemicals. Neem is known for its potent antifungal and antibacterial effects, providing a natural barrier against pathogens. Citrus, rich in natural acids and essential oils, offers a powerful cleaning action, cutting through grease and grime while leaving behind a fresh, natural scent.
The benefits of switching to bio enzyme cleaners are manifold:
-
Healthier Pets: Reduced exposure to toxic chemicals means fewer health risks for your pets. Bioenzyme cleaners minimize the chances of skin irritations, allergies, and respiratory issues, ensuring a safer and more comfortable living environment for your furry friends.
-
Eco-Friendly: Bioenzyme cleaners are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. They break down naturally without leaving harmful residues, reducing the ecological footprint and helping to preserve our planet's waterways and wildlife.
-
Natural Ingredients: Ingredients like turmeric, neem, and citrus with soapnuts not only clean effectively but also provide additional health benefits. These natural components have been used for centuries in traditional medicine for their healing properties, further enhancing the safety and wellness of your home.
-
Improved Indoor Air Quality: Without the harsh chemical fumes, bioenzyme cleaners help maintain better indoor air quality, which is crucial for pets who spend most of their time indoors.
Here is a simple recipe for making your first batch of Citrus & Turmeric cleaners.
Ingredients:
- Raw Turmeric
- Sweet lime or lemon peels (old one's are fine too. Store the lemon peels after use and within a week you will have enough)
- Jaggery
- Water
- Plastic Bottle
Method:
The ratio in which we will combine the ingredients is 10:3:1.
- Now, add 1 part turmeric and lemon peels. If you are making a soapy cleaner for dishes and beddings, add soapnuts to this.
- 3 parts Jaggery powder
- 10 parts water.
- This entire mixture must fill 80% of the bottle and leave some space for build up of gases.
- Add a date label to this an leave it in a cool dark place for fermentation. For the first 30 days, open the cap once a day to release gases. After 30 days, leave it for 60 days as is. In 90 days, your powderful antimicrobial - completely natural bioenzyme cleaner will be ready.
What's the best part? IT HAS NO EXPIRY DATE.
How to use:
For floor cleaning, ad 10ml of this solution to 1 litre of water bucket for mopping.
For Dishes, if you have added soapnuts, again dilute in same ration.
Do make this. Anything new takes some bit of new changes but it is completely worth it. Let's make a healthy home and a healthier planet.
Love,
Good Mama
